CBS faces Twitter fallout for choice of Egg Bowl over Iron Bowl

As we move into Week 14 of the NFL season, Kantar's US Pulse shows fantasy football players are evaluating their dream teams and posting about them on Twitter. The #1 sentiment is that people watch Monday Night Football to keep track of their fantasy matchups. Also, fantasy football playoffs begin this week and fantasy footballers are mourning their losses or posting about their excitement for the next game.

College football also has been the talk of Twitter thanks to the Alabama Iron Bowl and Mississippi Egg Bowl games. Of the two rival state universities in Alabama, the University of Alabama's Crimson Tide won the game. The Iron Bowl also set a record for viewers at 13.5 million and was the highest-scoring game on record.

The Egg Bowl was the talk over Thanksgiving weekend as it was held on Saturday with many complaining that CBS made a mistake in choosing to air the Egg Bowl rather than the Iron Bowl.
